Mt. Cook Alpine Salmon (MCAS) is a rapidly expanding salmon farm on the South Island of New Zealand producing premium Chinook salmon in pens in hydro canals fed by glacial water at volumes up to one million litres per minute. Expansion will increase production to 2000 MT over three different sites. The farm sites are outside the town of Twizel which is located in the heart of the Southern Alps approximately 40 km from Mt. Cook. The location is idyllic and offers the best of New Zealand.
