Bream Bay, Ruakaka, New Zealand NIWA is New Zealand’s leading environmental research Institute and key provider of atmospheric, freshwater and marine research and consultancy services in New Zealand. Our Bream Bay Aquaculture Park is New Zealand’s largest facility for marine aquaculture research and development. We are looking for a positive and self motivated Hatchery Technician to provide technical support to various projects at the Bream Bay site including live feed production, finfish broodstock and system maintenance, larval rearing and juvenile production of a number of marine species. You’ll be tertiary qualified in aquaculture, marine, veterinary or another biological science, and have experience in aquaculture, including general procedures for live fish husbandry in a research and development environment. You will have strong attention to detail and good computer literacy. You must be able to work flexible days, public holidays and after-hours on-call.
