Bream Bay Aquaculture Park, Ruakaka

NIWA is a leader in the provision of atmospheric, freshwater and marine research and consultancy services in New Zealand. Our Bream Bay Aquaculture Park is New Zealand’s largest facility for marine aquaculture research and development and focuses on several species including Kingfish, Hapuku (Groper), Salmon and Paua.

We have a challenging position for a Senior Technician with extensive experience in live feed production. The position will have a key role in rotifer and algae operations plus have an involvement in various finfish research and production projects including larval and juvenile rearing and maintenance of broodstock.

You’ll be tertiary qualified in aquaculture, marine, veterinary or another biological science, and have extensive experience in leading and developing live feed production. This is a senior position with a high degree of responsibility, so if you are highly motivated with project management and leadership experience, have a strong interest in aquaculture, a proactive approach to staff and financial management, why not make NIWA your next step?
